It’s difficult to plan your Spring garden when we are facing our driest winter on record. There is no need to give up! You can still garden, people just have to think about gardening differently as there are many ways to have a beautiful, lush look on little water. Join low water garden designers and the owners of DIG Gardens, Cara and Will Meyers and find out how to change your yard into a stylish, lush, drought tolerant and usable space. If you’ve ever struggled to make an indoor orchid last or re-bloom, this workshop is for you! Join us for a hands-on demonstration workshop on how to care for and re-pot orchids. The Dig Gardens staff will show you how to successfully care for these amazing flowering plants. Participants may bring one, non-blooming orchid to the workshop for a hands on repotting demonstration. $25 per person. Cost includes instruction and potting materials. Rare orchids and pots will be available for purchase.
String Garden Workshop

Join us in making a stunning display of hanging gardens for your home or patio. This ancient form of Bonsai, called “Kokedame” is gaining popularity from garden enthusiasts all over the world! Each participant will be able to choose their favorite 6 inch houseplant or 4 inch orchid from the nursery. We will then teach you how to use our special soil mix, string and moss to create these fun and fabulous displays. Please do not bring plants from home! $35 includes plant and all materials and more materials to try it yourself at home!
DIY Hypertufa Containers

It looks like rock, can be cast into almost any shape, is environmentally friendly, very lightweight and can withstand harsh weather conditions. Join us for this hands on workshopon how to make your very own hypertufa pots. They make great homemade gifts in one of a kind shapes, sizes and colors! You will make 2 medium pots to take home with you! $60 includes instruction and all materials.

The latest trend in modern gardening is going vertical! Join the owner and garden designer, Cara Meyers for a workshop where you will create your very own stunning outdoor vertical garden. We will use the beautiful textures and colors of succulents in pre-fabricated redwood 20″x20″ wall hangings to create these “plant paintings”. A great way to add a touch of design and greenery to outdoor fences, walls and entryways. In this class you will choose from our selection of over 100 succulent cuttings to create a beautiful wall mounted design.
